My 30th high school reunion (David H. Hickman High School, home of the Kewpies, you got a problem with that?) is coming up in July. My first question, of course, is why anyone in their right mind would voluntarily go to Columbia, Missouri in July.
My second question is, how have I ended up, 30 years later, with the same hairstyle I had when I was a senior in high school????? Okay, I do part it on the other side now (I wonder when that happened?). And I’m much cuter now.
My third question is, should I post my biography to the reunion website? High school was not a time in my life about which I fondly reminisce. To say the least. Reading through the bios that people have left is interesting, though. Of the people who added their info, lots of them stayed close to home. There are scads of children (and a few grandchildren, for god’s sake. That’s just not right). And not a one of them self-identified as gay or lesbian. Guess I’m the only one.
Riiiiiiiiiiiight.
Which, to be honest, is 99% of the reason why I would leave MY bio.
